Thank you parents of CC

The dust is almost settled, and I have two sons going off to very different universities. One to a large private (95% sure LOL) and one to a tier 2 mid-sized public university in the Northwest. Total cost is about 80K per year for both boys and I will see a total of about 20K out of pocket to me. The boys will only have Stafford loans to deal with upon graduation. They have received a very nice mix of scholarship and grants. While the bill could have been cheaper these are the schools they have chosen and are looking forward to going to.

This site was very helpful on picking schools, although a bit biased, and I learned a lot. It is great that many of you hang around to help the next group of lost parents.

:)

Perhaps I will hang around as well and share their experiences to help the next group.

Thanks for the update, drizzit. I have followed some of your posts here and on the Engineering forum. I think you will have a lot to offer to the families navigating these waters in the future.

I hope you do stick around!! I did...though I admit to being addicted. But college admissions is so overwhelming...it does feel good if you can help out a little. :)

Glad to hear how well things have worked out for your sons!
