<p>The thank you should come from your son, not from you. If he hasn’t already done so, ask him to write a handwritten thank you note to each of the teachers who wrote a recommendation for him. Nothing else is needed.</p>
<p>Oh, for the winter holidays, I wrote them all a handwritten thank-you and a gift card. Nothing too big.</p>

<p>My son gave them thank you notes with one of the russell stover boxes of chocolate that has the college name on it that he is going to. It was well received. </p>
