No matter where I end up, I just want to express my gratitude to all those on this thread that have helped and supported me from the beginning. You have ALL been SO nice and I can't begin to thank you enough for everything. Whenever I was/am confused, upset, curious, etc., I knew/know that I could/can always count on getting help here on CC. You've also been here to receive and share in my good news.

May all of you (parents, sons and daughters) be filled with health and happiness throughout the years.

Navygirl;
Good luck with everything over this year and beyond. you have a lot to offer no matter where you end up. Congratulations on your acceptances and best of luck in your decisions.

Navgirl: Hope that whatever your choice, you enjoy it. If you do choose Harvard, don't pursue physics. According to Harvard's president you may be at a genetic disadvantage to succeed. Just Kidding.

Did you decide on where you are going? I'm thinking of applying to Harvard next year also but I doubt I'll get in. I took the SAT this year and made a 1450 but I don't think it's high enough. I'll take it again several more times.

Sailin, I haven't decided yet. I'm giving some serious consideration to becoming a JAG officer for the Navy. This would make a huge difference in my decision, since I would be majoring in Poli-Sci as opposed to Engineering during my undergrad years. I'm also still waiting to hear from a few other schools (applied RD to Princeton, Stanford & UNC).

A 1450 is a GREAT score! It may not be as high as it needs to be for Harvard, but it's certainly very acceptable at most universities and any of the academies. Since it's just your junior year, you have plenty of opportunities to bring it up if you want. A perfect score won't get you into Harvard, but I would shoot for at least a 1500. I scored a 1490 on my first SAT and then brought it up to a 1590. Just study anything you can get your hands on. I even went so far as to study the dictionary (English is my weakest subject) every night, but I'm a nerd. :)

Also, do you hold any type of leadership position/s? The sports are excellent! Keep it up and let us know what you hear about SS.
