But interesting to see that this school year when both schools populations were made up of students under a need blind policy, that Holy Cross actually awarded aid to a higher % of students- 62% for Holy Cross vs 56% for Amherst.
Amherst’s endowment is much bigger which is a big reason why a school can be need blind, especially when it has a relatively small student population. And Holy Cross will still maintain being need blind for a very, very high percentage of applicants.
