So, I have been renamed by Bullet as SCAOL. I just returned from 5 days out at Seymour-Johnson. What a weekend!

I enjoyed my first game of golf ever with Bullet’s S and other friends which was a blast and very entertaining! Talking with the local flight doc and sitting in the Strike Eagle sims was cool and helpful!

Watching Bullet take-off with the rest of the 4-ship for his fini flight was fun. Then helping his kids hose him down was VERY fun. Couldn’t hide! Seeing the camaraderie in the squad bar after with Bullet and his fellow brothers was eye-opening.

Then, the ceremony itself and the festivities! Man, what a day! The ceremony really was moving, everyone including Bullet speaking and the tears from Pima (chocolate mess right?). But 6 hours in the O-club afterwards celebrating was the greatest experience. I have many bruises from playing two CRUD tournaments (WHAT A BLAST!), memories watching Bullet do a bathang! and having all the wives make me dance out on the dance floor with them! Again, WHAT A NIGHT!

To all here at USAFA, we haven’t even seen the tip of the iceberg. Seeing the retirement, the guys, and what we have in front of us. I can’t believe they will pay us to do this. It was incredible. If you ever get the chance to go to a ceremony or anything like it, do it, my eyes were opened.

The grass only gets greener!

Thank you again Bullet and Pima, you guys were amazing and I’m glad to have been a part of it all!
