Do the professors usually have classes on the Wednesday before Thanksgiving. Don't know if it is worth it to fly home on Thanksgiving day and back on Sunday. Too much of a hassle. Are there alot of kids that stay on campus during the Thanksgiving break?

Usually yes, though sometimes they will cancel their class or accomodate.

A lot cancel but some will hold class. Most understand that people will be gone but professors have a lot of autonomy and some punish students who leave early/reward students who stay.

I think most people go home, but I’m not really sure.

Depends, usually most try to keep it low key that day as lots of people will skip anyways, but you will rarely have anything “unmissable” -tests, important quizzes, etc.

Usually nothing important, but personally I HAVE had really important tests on that Wednesday, twice in fact. I would wait until you at least get the syllabus for the class to determine if you can leave early.

If you are in Weinberg, you don’t need to fly back Sunday. Reading period immediately follows Thanksgiving break.

^^Usually, but not always. It is true this year though.

I thought it was up to the professor if you have classes or not. So there may or may not be classes on Monday??

The Monday you return is the first day of WCAS reading period. Weinberg professors are not SUPPOSED to have classes then (and almost never do). There can, however, be “review sessions” (more common in math classes) and oral exams for language classes.
