I know that many people in this forum want to pursue I-banking, Hedge Fund management and other "million dollar" jobs. I on the other hand am considering a route in corporate finance!

I have a few questions maybe ya'll could help with if ya'll maybe had these answered or know the answers. I got to UT Dallas, a very well known and recognized university in the Dallas area.

I understand you start off as a financial analyst. But where do you go from there? Is your ultimate goal CFO, Senior Financial Manager, VP of Finance? What is normally the way progression goes.

I've heard between 45-65k for entry level positions. What does the salary progression look like? 2 years out, 5 years, 10 years? I'd like a career with the possibility of a 125k+ job between 8 to 10 years out.

I've considered a CFA designation following with a MBA in Finance or Management, is this wise for Corp. Finance?

My degree will be a Finance degree with multiple electives in Accounting and a minor in Global Communcation and Leadership? Is this a wise minor or would I be better off with a straight accounting minor or statistics minor or even something along the lines of MIS minor?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!
