"The 25 Most Amazing College Campus THEATERS"

I thought this might be of interest to this forum.....a list of some really neat theater spaces at colleges across the country...

Wow that Gehry building at Bard is gorgeous! Thanks for sharing. (Though I do think that amazing theater happens at some pretty nondescript venues, too.)

Unfortunately, Bard’s main stage is rarely used for theatre. It’s mostly for music. Bard’s long time college president is the conductor.

Williams should be on that list IMO.

The first time I saw a performance at the Cutler Majestic at Emerson, I think I missed the first 15 minutes because I was still looking around at the theatre itself. Just beautiful!

I know this is always the case with lists like this but the Concert Hall at Purchase (where the movie Black Swan was filmed) seems like an obvious ommission.

Nice spaces, but once again, this shows how these lists aren’t really that helpful. Skirball isn’t really used by Tisch Drama at NYU…. I doubt that the Yale Rep is used by undergrads at Yale (although I could be wrong). Maybe by the MFA program though. And, I agree: the omission of Williams College facility is a big one.

Also, the Granoff Center at Brown, though super cool, is not typically used for theatre.

We just visited Pacific Lutheran University and their new state of the art 600 person theater was built FOR the theater department and is stunning. Very impressive.
