hey so im fillin out the uc app and ucsd has me rank its colleges
sure, i've read the descriptions online. but i dont feel they are an adequate representation of what each one is about.
could someone care to explain to me differences in the colleges and lifestyles, and which would best suit me?
i am aiming to pursue bioengineering; i hope to be a doctor and love the sciences and math.
I really love activities and sports, as i play basketball for my school.

I'm actually not sure of what else to put up here to help identify myself with a college, so please let me know what else to post.

i am very concerned about social atmosphere; im a pretty outgoing person who would love to go to parties and social events. Yet, i do want the correct academic path for myself

im revelle bioE, its probably the most class intensive way (actually it is) for a bioengineer...im not expecting to grad in 4 years, its like impossible with revelle, but i love it (and im a japanese studies minor) that stemed from the language requirement and area of focus

haha
ya i know going bioE might hurt my gpa but im willing to take the risk maybe
well
im not sure to yet to be honest lol but thats just what i've been thinking

what about different social environments? are they all essentially the same?

go to warren.
im in warren now and everyone here is either bio, engineering, or bioengineering (no joke). the GE's are a whole lot easier in warren plus we have really nice dorms. socially, im not a big partier but i have been invited to many and can assure you that you will have no shortage of them because you are in warren (or any other college for that matter). just my opinion, i am a little biased.

well im in marshall and its definitely the place for social people...but there arent alot of bioengineers. of course you find them everywhere, but mostly revelle and warren. id go #1 warren, #2 revelle. trust me having very few ge's is a cool thing. :)

i'm in muir and i have to say one reason i love it so much is because i can take math instead of science. so while i'd still say that its the best imo, you probably want to look at a college where you can take both for GE's

honestly, i would say college doesn't matter at all..
the GEs are a little different, especially the # of writing courses you have to take.
do a little research on that (you can easily find them on ucsd.edu), and just pick whichever college you want..

having said that, I personally would recommend Thurgood Marshall just because i'm in marshall.. :P

me too! and btw i am a first year almost done with ge's so if you want more info, (hint) look up ap credit charts to see where you stand. they do vary by college, though
