The ACT Booklet Number Was Off By 1 Digit

The number on the book had only 5 digits...
On the answer sheet, ther were 6 spaces to fill in...

Were we supposed to leave the rightmost space blank?
Or should we have left the leftmost space blank?

Did anyone else experience this problem?

yeah, our prompter told us to leave the rightmost space blank. Not sure why ACT did that.

ahh

would it be bad if i had no idea what you guys are talking about?

They told us to put a zero in the front.

where is was this number on your booklet?

It was on the top-left corner.

where did you put it on your answer sheet

was it the top left then to the right was the form and then the form bubble?

haha i can see this delaying scoress sooo much .. people put zeros in front, spaces were blank .. ohhh man our proctor told us to leave the rightmost space blank

if the place to put your number was on the top of your answers then mine was the right amount

correct me if i wrong but the number you guys are talking about is top left of your answer document (page 2) and then to the right of it is the form number, correct?

ya and the delays will be long too...

i really want to find out my answer before the deadline to the oct. act that way i can register after i see if i have to take it.... i will probably just end up doing it late and paying even more money

@ BobbyT12:

So you're saying that the number located near the top-left corner of your ACT Test Booklet was 6 digits long?

idk what you guys are referring to. my test booklet had all six numbers. our proctor never told us to leave a blank space.

this is bad....

hahhahha oh mannn this sucks .. my essay number had 6 digits but my test booklet sure didnt .. the number that didnt have the 6 digits was the cover of the test booklet correct ??

ya i think mine had 6 digits... at least all the boxes were accounted for on the top of page 2 (that's what this is about, for the third time, right?)

I took mine in Gainesville, tx.....and I had 5 digits

Here's my question:

Are all of the ACT test booklets supposed to have the same number?

@ BobbyT12:

Yes, that is what this discussion is about.

well if this is what the discussion is about then i guess our whole class didnt even look at the right number because we all thought the number was the 5 digit one on the front cover of the test booklet then across from it there was the form code ...

No, I think BobbyT12 was talking about the second page of the answer document, not the test booklet.

I'm fairly sure the number was supposed to be on the front page of the test booklet.

Same problem @ my testcenter. 5 digits instead of 6. Proctor told us to put a 0 in the front.
