The ACT feels like cheating!

I don't know if it's just me..but for the SAT I had to work hard to get a (pretty crappy) score.

With the SAT, I took a practice btwn soph and jun year and got 1860. Had to study study study for months and months to finally get up to 2170 last June.

However, I just signed up for the ACT for s*ts and giggles, and took a practice two days before the test. Composite was 34.5 (I was like *..)

Now, I took the real thing, my composite score increased a little to 35.0 But I didn't do ANY studying for it, so my score feels somehow... unearned? Feels like I somehow cheated the system by scoring highly without any work.

After taking the ACT, I took the SAT and think I did do better than 2170, but still not as good as the 35 would indicate. It's strange... does anybody else feel like the ACT will be looked down upon in college admissions?

Hey, whenever you're done bragging about your score - let us know. Make ANOTHER thread about it. Actually, on second thought, don't. Nobody gives a damn.

Are you the one who started a thread for 35+ people? Yes, you did well, congrats, but really, c'mon.

The SAT is more like an IQ test, which is why the top schools prefer it.

I think the ACT test is easier to study for and thus easier to do well on.

The science ACT test is bogus.

Maybe you're an overachiever.

Nice life story... lol

"which is why the top schools prefer it."

no one prefers anything

wow...vadox...you can totally stop putting all these BS threads up now. Seriously. Nobody likes them.

vadox: Shut the **** up you little ***** and stop bragging with your BS threads before all of us slap you in the face with our "mediocre" score reports...

Dude any1 who got a 35, and is retaking, needs to find something better to do with their life

^agreed....vadox ur 35 is horrible....colleges r gonna laugh at it

"But I didn't do ANY studying for it"

you took a practice test; that's more studying than most kids.
