The Advisors at Wash U

how much better are they at WAsh U than at other private schools?

Are you asking about advisors regarding your curriculum, majors, course registration? Why would they be better/worse than at any other private school? Has someone told you this?

You will have more than enough advisors at WashU. Believe me. There are so many youd wish youd had fewer because there are so many. There are the main Dean advisors. Then there are Sub Dean advisors (in cases where you join groups that have deans like prelaw med or program like medsci) and then there are Major advisors which you get a little later. Then there are student advisors (you should be assigned one, if your in medsci youll have two that work with) Then there are your RAs which in your freshman year will take you around in groups early on to programs to learn about date rape etc and have group discussions etc. If you have any queastions or concerns you will get an answer. In fact you actually HAVE to talk to youradvisor even if you dont want to because your deans have to approve of your class schedule plans before you can even actually sign up. Soooo dont worry youll have a wonderful and plentiful resource of advising at WashU
