<p>Well, im half african ( gambian) other half is Belgian. but i decided to make this, since i dont see anything similar. so my african bros and sistas. Whats new with you guys and college? im going to UNC chapel hill this fall.</p>

<p>i live in the united states, but i visit Gambia and belgium every summer. they gave me a normal acceptance since im a us permanent resident.</p>

I didn't apply anywhere in the US but my friends tell me (one is German and one is Gambian-) that UNC CH was totally crazy for international students this year- with our best couple students (one is-IB diploma candidate, #1 female runner in Tunisia, NHS, and a bucketful of other shining ECs and recs) were waitlisted...

<p>it's funny how u "halve" urself~! most of my biracial friends... are... well... either "white" or "black" with the overwhelming majority ending up "white" which is quite amusing really. but it's all love- i wouldn't care if they called themselves purple!</p>
<p>haha tru ive noticed the same. alot of biracials feel that choosing a side...and usuaally white will make life easier, lol.</p>

<p>hmm...since I haven't heard from anywhere else, I'm going to Columbia!!! I think I will switch into SEAS for bioeng/premed, but if that doesn't happen, I'll stay in the college and declare a premed concentration, though I'm not sure which major I would take.
Did you visit Penn, and why did you like it?</p>
<p>No i didnt get to visit Penn! I actually live abroad thats why, and i didnt go to the states last summer due to a chnage in summer plans...well i chose Penn cause of its amazing biochem program...and not only that..it's well rounded in terms of academics, social scene, athletics etc! Additionally...Philly...city of brotherly love!! hehe...oh ive been 2 philly before..and i love the city! i mean it def wont compare to NYC hehe..but its still great...so Penns location was a helping factor in deciding!!
I got waitlisted at Columbia..it was initially my ultimate top choice..but then along the admission process as time went along..i just started to learn even more about Penn and fell in love with it!!
