The AP US Government and Politics Thread

mann…i’m sad now…oh well…gues i’ll just wait and see my score in july…

It’s only 2 points. Don’t worry about it. In the grand scheme of things if you did well overall you can still get a 5 easily.

Haha, I made sure to memorize all the amendments and basically owned that one question that I can’t discuss for 2 days.

i didn’t even use the specific amendment…if that’s what you`re talking about…
…but i referenced to some…i memorized them like this morning…:)

Good job!

Suffrage and 17th amendment for me. Pretty easy.

trying hard not to actually discuss questions

When people say that you have to get around 55 to get a 5, around what FRQ score is that assuming?

I guess my question is…is it still possible to get a 5 even if you have a lower score on MC (like 50?), but near-ace the FRQ section?

Yeah, if you get somewhere in the mid-30’s for MC and perfect on FR, then you can get a 5. I believe a 5 is somewhere around the 90+ range.

What do you guys think about interest groups being a linkage institution because they inspire or support policies… or something… :-/

Oh wow! That isn’t all that bad then. I can hope again. =)

according to my gov book, there are 4 linkage institutions. Elections, media, interest groups, and political parties, so you could have talked about the other 3 since elections were already in the prompt.

Out of curiousity, it has nothing to do with the test or anything, just wondering, what are some inherent powers of the president?

86/120 is the cutoff in the books, so 90 will be a safe score for a 5.

I think inherent powers are unstated powers.

Easiest AP test I’ve ever taken.

ap test was today. how did u guys do?
esays were sooooooooooooooo easyy!!!
they are going to bring my m.c. choice grade up for sure

Lets get more specific on the topic of inherent powers please

[inherent powers](http://■■■■■■■.com/cgxfem)

Look it up on wikipedia.

“Out of curiousity, it has nothing to do with the test or anything, just wondering, what are some inherent powers of the president?”

Commander in Chief

Face of the nation, media, etc, especially during a crisis.

Being able to talk with foreign countries about stuff, etc. I’m too lazy to think now haha.

Basically, it’s the stuff the president is able to do because he is president, but isn’t stated in the constitution.

Wasn’t inherent powers a fr question a few years ago? I read all the 2008-2002 fr questions + answers last night to study. lol

who else thought that they gave us a ridiculous amount of time to do the frqs.

i was done answering everything with like an hour to go.
