hey hey everyone, hope everyone's cramming is going well, this thread has been pretty darn handy. =) okay then, to the question:

Q: What led to the Sepoy Rebellion and what were the effects of it?

The guns had pork and beef fat as the muskets (something like that), so the Hindus and Muslims rebelled against the British.

Results: British East India Company was removed and replaced by the Queen of England.

Question:

Can anyone explain how "Gunpowder was restricted in Japan and affected Samurai less than it did knights in Europe?".

Is it something about how gunpowder took away the neccessity or use of knights in Europe but since it was monopolized in Japan by samurai they were still important?

the new iranian ruler ayatollah khomeini rejected western culture and imposed islamic law.
saddam hussein took advantage of irans weakness by annexing its oil rich provinces which led to the iran-iraq war

Q) compare and contrast russian vs ottoman interaction with the west

66/70 questions, wo Surge, that is a 5 with crappy essays, so you should not be worried because barron's is usually harder than the real exam.

A. Satyaraha & Buddhism

Just took the Barrons Model Examination #2 and got 59/70, which is 84%... I assume thats good, but does anyone know if Barrons really realistic?

EDIT: Note, this is barrons 2nd Edition (2006 copyright).

That's good, but the 2002 released exam, was different and in my opinion easier, but for some reason I did worse on it as I got 53/69, one question was thrown out.

B. Civil disobedience and Non-cooperation movement (Not sure, but I think it is correct).

I got 44 Raw points on a multiple choice section of a practice test. First off I didn't even take the AP world History class because our school didn't offer it (but I am in Honors and the best of the honors are taking it). Anyway, I guess that I'll get 7/9 on each essay, How would I determine my Raw total score? Because I though that the test was split 50/50 so since the multiple choice is out of 70 and the total essay grade is out of 27, how does that equal out to be 50/50. Are you lost? Help me if u understand what i'm saying!!!

How do you calculate raw points (does that heed to number wrong/blank)?

WTH the Peterson tests are so hard. I got a 66 and a 67 on the Barron's tests and I got a 41 on one of the Peterson's test.

so if you got 7 points on each essay that would be a total of 21 essay points.

then each essay point is worth 2.07 multiple choice questions so 21 * 2.07 = 43.47

then you add your essay points and your multiple choice points since each section is worth 50% of your grade

43+44 = 87

here is the scale for the 2002 exam:
78-120 = 5
64-77 = 4
54-63 = 3

so that gives you a 5.

surge i thought that too. i missed 5 on the kaplan test and like 20 on petersons. i hope the petersons tests are harder than the actual ap test.

oh and to calculate raw points:

lets say you answered all 70 questions and got 8 wrong.

this means you got 62 correct.

8 wrong * .25 = 2.

so you have to subtract the 2 from your total correct points of 62.

so your raw score would be 60.

Did anyone take the Cliffs Test? It puts so much emphasis on memorizing obscure Roman and Greek laws and tenets. What's up with that?
