<p>The Bacot, Gunn, Kempf Family Scholarship is available to students from Oklahoma, South Carolina, Texas, and Essex County, New York. J. Carter Bacot '55 has established this scholarship to encourage geographic diversity among the Hamilton student body and to provide financial assistance for students from areas to which he has family ties. The Bacot award provides scholarship assistance to families with financial need, though a limited number of merit-based grants are also considered. Candidates will be judged on their high school performance, standardized test scores, demonstrated leadership, and community involvement. </p>

<p>Does anyone know exactly how many are given out (especially merit-based)? My EFC is $30,000 and the total costs are $41,000. Do you think I will qualify for any fin aid at Hamilton (including the above scholarship)?</p>

<p>Raindrop, I thik it's fair to say that a lot of dogs are chasing this bone. I believe the chances of a student receiving this scholarship are the same as HYP odds, and probably requires HYP stats.</p>
