The beginning of the end...

Well I called U of I yesterday and spoke to an undergraduate admissions counselor about the whole calc 3 ordeal. I told him that I would much rather save that class and take it at U of I for a number of reasons. Mainly because I will have 60 credits and I really don’t want to take more classes after that at my CC. Also, because I am still at a CC, my resources aren’t as great for calc 3; teachers, tutors, etc. So I’d prefer saving it and taking it at U of I (hopefully if I get in). My recommendation for you as a sophomore transfer is to make sure you can meet freshman admissions because they will look at your high school transcript. Get in touch with a transfer counselor, call and e-mail them for all your questions. I have spent a lot of time calling and e-mailing counselors that I think they’re sick of me now lol. Retake the ACT if you have to for an improved score. Some great news that I found out today is that my geography teacher used to be a professor at U of I, I was pretty happy when he stated that. I’m going to ask him for a letter of recommendation at the end of the semester. You should find out of there are any professors at your current school that are from U of I. Good luck hopefully we can accomplish this thing together.
