After taking a few SAT classes, most advice to take take a lot of practice tests. Does taking a lot of prac. tests and learning from them help you to get a 2400? People have suggested that by the time any one finishes taking 70 - 80 full practice tests, and learn from them, they will ususally reach a score of 2300+...is this necessarily true?

O_O 70 to 80 Practice tests??! I need to try that before November rolls along. I don't know if it will bring you to a score of 2300+ or above..it should, as long as you are studying and analyzing your correct and incorrect answers as well as the explantions to them. Maybe someone else will know though.

70 to 80 practice tests is NOT at all necessary ( in fact, it's a myth). a more realistic number is 8 (CB book).

wow 70 to 80 tests? that's like 300 hours that you could have spent doing something more meaning full...i took only 3 practice tests (2280)

1, I don't think there ARE 70-80 practice tests even out there. #2, I have never heard of anyone taking even 25. #3, you would utterly lose your mind taking so many tests, and it wouldn't get you anywhere.

8-10 should be plenty if you focus on your errors, figure out what you're doing wrong, and work hard to correct them.

I am personally taking 24 practice tests, which is how many I will be able to get my hands on. I suggest you do the same if you have the time. Best way to prepare is to take as many practice tests as possible.

Oh come on, man, you gotta take 25 so that I can say I've heard of someone doing that.

hahahaha I need a new hobby.

rofl @ 98

Don't we all need a new hobby? SAT has srsly taken over a huge portion of my life. Hopefully I will get a 2300+ so I can chuck these books out my room and into the a fire I will have made below my balcony.
