I can't wait! Not only is the game going to be a good one (MSU should play better than their record suggests), but the idea of being a part of history (world record attendance for a hockey game) isn't too shabby either.

Anyways, who's going and what are your expectations?

I am hopefully going, I have three books to read and two papers to write before Sunday night so it will just depend on how far I can get today. I am excited! It sounds like it will be so much fun. What time do you think you are going to start heading to the stadium? My friends and I haven’t decided yet how early we need to get there.

Well, I’m from the detroit area so I’ll be there pretty early to secure a spot I have reserved at a house. I think I plan to be in ann arbor around noon, depending on traffic. I think some pre-game festivities start then. I’d start finding my way to the stadium around 2. I honestly have no idea what to expect because I haven’t been to a football game there. If you have, I suppose it should be about the same if not busier and more intense.

I went to football last year but I can’t remember what I did. I didn’t really care when I showed up for football. Maybe I got there an hour to a half hour before kickoff? It was usually super crowded already when I got there and people were usually sitting in my seats so I had to sit elsewhere. I hope people actually sit in their assigned seats. (hah.)

I read there are going to be fireworks. I think that’s what I am most excited for to be honest. I hope my seats are good enough to see some of the game.

I bet hand warmers will be a hot item. :D

Glad I went. And to think at not a week ago I was facing the almost certain likelihood of having to sell my ticket. :o

Personally I thought the viewing distance was good enough in comparison to speculated issues. It might of even been an advantage to have be higher up, given the ground level obstructions.

It looked awesome on tv.

I know, right? I had tickets for the 19th row and we moved to the very top of the stadium by the second period. As you got closer to the rink, the viewing angle decreased and it was really hard to not only follow the play, but to see it. If you were at the first row, you could only see 50% to 75% of the rink. Up high, you can see the puck from end to end. The best seats, I suspect, were at center ice underneath the press boxes. Nonetheless, it was a great experience.

I saw Jeff and Joe at the game, Brett. Didn’t see you.

that was fun, but windy… fireworks were cool

Yeah, I was in the 19th row, too, section 33. I only stayed for the first period before I started feeling too tired and had to go home. It’s a shame they had to do this around this time of year, I haven’t slept properly all week. But I had fun and I enjoyed the rest from home. This was a cool experience. Thank goodness we won!

woody, you stayed for the fireworks? I was going to until they announced we had to wait seven more minutes. My feet were literally freezing because they were so wet, otherwise, I would have stayed.

i took a video of the whole thing… I almost froze my right hand off… I ditched my group and jogged back to CC Little just to warm up

Did it end up raining?

Nope. It was actually a relatively nice day. It could have been a lot worse.

It could have been like earlier today.

I saw some girls wearing socks and flip flops. I was pleased that this was the first hockey game I’ve been to all year where I didn’t see some bimbo trying to scale the bleachers in stilettos, but I am not sure the flipflop/sock combo was any more intelligent.
