The "Campus as a Work of Art" by Thomas Gaines

Some of the other threads made me wonder if anyone else has consulted this old book of urbanist/architectural criticism.

He ranks the usual suspects quite highly as campuses that have a walkable car-free urbanity to them, a good green landscape to calm the mind, and harmonious architecture (whatever that means). It seems to have been written before our main streets across the country were decimated by cars and malls.
