The Choice blog features the audition process.

The Choice blog at the New York Times is following the college application process of 6 students at a high school in Denver and one of them is seeking an auditioned theater program. I think it will be interesting to follow his quest.

When Acceptance to College Hinges on an Audition - NYTimes.com

I love this kid! I just posted, though, with the mantra of CC: have some non-audition matches and safeties on your list!

Thank you for sharing this! I love him, too, and wish him the best! I agree, too, about adding one more non-auditioned match/safety. I’m nervous already for him (well, at least he’s a boy!).

I think he is going to have a lot of fans. He has already inspired what may be my favorite Choice comment ever:

“As someone who knows next to nothing about the drama of drama, I find your story fascinating, compelling and yes perhaps, even exhilarating. I am eager to track your journey as one would track a young fawn in a snowed wood and wish you all the world’s precious luck young man. I should also add that as an optometrist your glasses smack of a young Woody Allen type and imply a vibrant and neurotic artist waiting to spring himself onto the world with a whooosh of fervor and grace. Keep up the good work young sir. We’re all counting on you.”
