In an effort to improve the board, Im starting this thread in which I hope to hear the class or classes you are most looking forward to taking this semester, next year, whenever. Maybe you could post the class you are happiest not to be taking, too.

This coming semester, I can't wait for Rhetoric 10, which is a thorough introduction to the art of rhetoric, and philosophy 25a, which is an introduction to ancient philosophy, concentrating on Socrates, Plato, and Aristotle. Im also excited that I will probably soon be taking a few classes about the philosophy of language and consciousness with professor Searle, Berkeleys resident philosopher king.

I'm very glad that I don't have to take Organic Chemistry. :)

I'm excited about taking Marx, Nietzsche and Freud next semester-mostly because they are collectively my favorite thinkers. It's as though someone designed a class explicitly for me :). I'm also looking forward to the Honors Seminar in Problem Solving (Aka Putnam Practice). Should be a fun sort of informal class with a bunch of other geeky math majors, until the actual Putnam, that is ("I got a 4!? out of 120?! how is that even possible?). To address the second part, I can't think of anything I'm not looking forward to at Berkeley!

Ooh, I'm looking forward to waaay too many things and all of my classes, but especially my Anthro 2 (intro to Archaeology) and Celtic Studies 15 (Elementary Modern Irish Language!)... I'm not looking forward to the fact that there's too many classes and not enough time!!! lol
