Your GPA will be a major problem. TCNJ is the most competitive public in the state and one of the most competitive in the country. But the upward trend is good, and your ACT is especially strong. Are you in-state? If so, your chances are good (~70%) If not, they will be lower.

I believe his chances will be better as an out of state student. TCNJ needs them.

Come to think of it, you might be right on that. I can't seem to find any stats, but that would make sense.

that's true - especially with the economic problems, state schools will be looking for more high-paying oos students. i'd say his chances are about the same instate or out.

I am an out-of-state student

My nephew was very sought after by TCNJ and has MUCH lower stats than yours. His GPA might have been higher, but his test scores were much lower. He is out of state and is a freshman at TCNJ.
I think you are in.

I was so impressed when I was visited TCNJ. The students were all so helpful and friendly. I don't know enough about the school's admissions process to chance you, but I wish you well!
