The Community College Student Definition

I spoke to my academic counselor today about starting my first semester at community college. She gave me a handout that listed the criteria for being what UCs consider to be a community college student. They are:

"A California community college student applying for admission to the University of California in advanced standing will be given priority admission over all other applicants if:

1) he/she was enrolled at one or more california community colleges for at least two terms (excluding summer sessions)

2) the last college he/she attended before admission to a UC campus was a california community college (excluding summer sessions); and

3) he/she has completed at least 30 semester (45 quarter) UC transferable units at one or more California community colleges."

I'm a little confused about the above definition. They say that students have to be "enrolled at one or more california community colleges for at least two terms (excluding summer sessions)", but do they mean two terms has to be completed PRIOR to applying to UCs, or do they mean that by the time you transfer, two semesters at a CC needs to have been completed?

I want to apply to UC schools next fall, but I'm worried that the admissions people might not consider me as an official community college student since I will be starting my first semester of CC next semester which means that I won't have two semesters worth of grades at a CC to show them when I apply next fall. However, since I'm planning on taking summer school courses and 20+ units a semester, I think I will be able to complete the 60 unit requirement by Spring '08. Can I still apply next fall , or will I have to wait one extra year to apply to transfer?

"they mean that by the time you transfer, two semesters at a CC needs to have been completed"

Can I still apply next fall , YES
