Which cities in the US are the most expensive to live in?

Probably San Francisco and New York City. Atlanta may be the best bargain for a wealthy, highly educated city. Boston is also expensive, as is Honolulu.

For the WHOLE world:
- Moscow
- London
- Seoul
- Tokyo
- Hong Kong
- Copenhagen
- Geneva
- Osaka
- Zurich
- Oslo
- Milan
- St. Petersburg (Russia)
- Paris
- Singapore
- New York City
- Dublin
- Tel Aviv
- Rome
- Vienna
- Beijing

For the US:
- New York
- Boston
- Juneau
- Anchorage
- San Diego
- Philly
- LA
- Fairbanks, AK
- Ann Arbor, MI
- Seattle

Not surprised my hometown topped the list… Honestly, nothing is EVER free unless it’s some kind of religious flyer. Even then, they want donations for their religion/cult whatever. And even the beggars glare at you if you give less than a dollar.

^ How did you come up with those lists?

I assume she used www.google.com

If you live in one of five metro areas in the continental U.S. – NYC, Boston, Wash. DC, San Francisco, L.A. – the cost of living is horrendous, mainly because of housing and/or taxes. Anyplace else is relatively manageable.
