<p>Hello there random forum reading folks.</p>

<p>I'm a sophomore, and I was thinking about the IB program next year. The problem is my school also has a music conservatory that I wanted to do. For that program I have to take AP Music Theory and Orchestra, but I cannot get IB Art credit for orchestra or be in IB and take AP Music Theory at my school. Many of my EC's are music related, so would it be better to show my commitment to music or take IB.</p>

<p>if many of your ec’s are music-related and you want to do the music conservatory, I would definitely go with the AP classes. Most colleges/admissions officers also regard AP more highly than IB.</p>

<p>do conservatory, take as many AP classes as possible and drop IB… that is the best advice i ever received.</p>
