The Diversity At LMU?

I was just wondering what minorities attending LMU felt about the campuses diversity? Has it ever been an issue for you? I am African-American and I attend a predominately white school so I'm use to being the minority, but I was wondering what kind of programs do LMU have to make the minorities more comfortable?

The diversity is quite amazing here, I love it. I just met a guy from Kuwait, a girl from London, and another guy from France. There’s several diverse clubs and orgs on campus – Black Student Union (they even sent me an invite by mail BEFORE I got into the school!), Kyodai (Japanese club), Hantao (Chinese), etc. I could go on for days. Even as I walk around, there’s considerable diversity – it really pleasantly surprised me when I got here.

But as for African-Americans there’s BSU as I said above, and Greek Life solely for AA. There was also a social to get to know other black students on campus. I didn’t commit to BSU though because I don’t want to get too comfortable and isolate myself from other ethnic groups completely. There’s also LMU MIX, a club where you can go to ALL cultural events being held during the week along with other members of MIX (of which is a better fit for me). Hope that helps! =-)

Thanks! That helps a lot :)
