I was wondering if anyone could tell us what ideas have already been used. What do adcoms usually get from the applicants?

Lots of ideas have been used. Collages with a pretty math formula and some pictures from your life are pretty trite unless they are artistically very impressive.

Just be yourself and try to make what you put in the box convey why it's interesting to you. Chances are whoever is looking at it will then like it also.

Ben, have you come across mine yet? :D. It's a bit crazy... I put my widely renown MSPaint skills to use. :)

I certainly don't read all the applications : ) If I run across your mad MSPaint skills, though, I will be sure to admire them.

Indeed. I have a feeling you will either love or hate my submission. :)

Thanks Ben!

Same here. It's (probably) different, but it's either going to seem really cool or really stupid.

well, so what IS everyone doing?

People don't typically talk about that, for somewhat obvious reasons. If you have a supercreative idea, you wouldn't want to share it with the world and have someone else submit it, because then who is to know that it was your supercreative idea first?

I will post mine after I get my decision. :)

I included a picture of something I created. I didn't really know what they were looking for, but the picture I included was probably the most creative thing I've done in awhile.
