Hello everyone,

I've narrowed down my options to Wake Forest and Vanderbilt. I am good financially with either school, but I'm torn between the two. Wake Forest is smaller and more personal, but Vanderbilt is generally considered to be more prestigious. As a pre-med student majoring in political science with my eyes set on MD/MPH programs, I'm trying to figure out if one school will give me an advantage in life.

Any thoughts?

both are amazing. both will prepare you for life and both have amazing med schools.( which may help you down the line)

I wish I could just flip a coin, but I’m putting in a little more thought than that. My only concern is whether or not I would benefit from more connections through Vanderbilt’s powerful alumni network.

Have you considered such things as transportation between school and home, academic calendar, quality of dorms, and distance from home? Sometimes when the choices are both quality choices, you might want to look at some things that most students don’t think about until they arrive on campus.

Go to the less expensive one. Save your $ for the med school.
