The Good, the bad, the ugly. What to know before visiting?

I'll be visiting Trinity soon for the weekend, staying on campus.
So, What should I check out while I'm there?
Negative opinions welcome as well!

Try to read a little about O’Neil Ford before going - he was the architect who planned the campus and many of the buildings. Be sure to check out the beautiful Henry Moore sculpture. I love the new science building and the dorms were the best we visited. I love the chapel and always make a point to sit outside in its courtyard for a minute. It is one of my favorite campuses, but it is unlike any other. Rather than columned buildings and quads it feels more modern and relaxed. There is a good campus map app that you may want to download. On the downside there is not much within easy walking distance of the campus. A short drive away is Broadway which has all kinds of shopping and restaurants on it. Just up the highway is the Quarry which offers a lot of good shopping. Towards downtown there is the old Pearl Brewery area, and then in downtown the River Walk is great.

What about any things that you didn’t know about and didn’t like after you got there?

I am a parent of a Trinity student. My son said the one thing that disappointed him was the students. As a first year student he felt that that many of the students wanted a big campus big football big party atmosphere. As a sophomore it seems the students now have the right expectations and more of them are happier.
