I'm thinking about applying, but I want to know more about the school...can anyone who goes/went there or just knows about it tell me a bit about Trinity, what they like/dislike, etc. I want to know what people really think, not just what all the brochures and tour guides say.
Thanks!

anyone...............

If you type in student reviews in google and then type in trinty college on the student review search bar (should be up top), you can get reviews from students that went to trinity. You can also get admission tips and alumni life info. Hopefully that helps. Other then that, go to the website.

Thanks, I'll try the student reviews

ive heard trinity is in a really bad area. someone i know who goes there got mugged wandering along the outskirts of campus at night but the campus is still nice, the safety issues would be my only concern.

trinity is in a city and all cities have the usual risks involved. just like u wouldn't "wander" around in any city at night all by yourself, you shouldn't do that at trinity. there are shuttles that give you rides from every corner of the campus and campus safety which offers rides when you need them. all you really need to do is use your smarts and walk in groups during the night or use the above mentioned facilities.

i am loving it here. there are so many opportunities. The highlights of my academics at trinity have been rigorous courses, getting to know the professors really well and doing research over summer that hardly any undergraduate student gets do elsewhere...

Well put, irrationale.

well put, irrationale.

You might also want to search for Trinity on *****.com, which is essentially a database of current students' reviews of the school. It's a great resource, in my opinion.

***, CC? That's uni-go.com, but without the dash.

walkthewalk thanks! :)

I hate it that they **** all the word here!

trin is in a bad area but no one leaves campus so it realy doesn't matter...most of the kids are prep school/boarding school kids so it's not like they're even used to this type of area. it's really fun and know for its students having a good time but people also study...the library is a place to see and be seen as well as study. frats dominate the weekends (which are thurs-sun...and sometimes include tuesdays) and socially it's all about who you know. you can have a really good time here but working is required. kids study because a)they've been going to schools that have been prepping them for college since forever and b)cause if you get kicked out, you can't party anymore. trin is basically an extension of boarding school and mostly people don't mind it (like myself, i love it) but some do. there are also a surprising amount of international students (esp. due to squash team...but also otherwise).

I'm not a student at trin ... but my dad is a trin alum and he talks about it all the time ....
Hartford isn't the best area but ... trinity's campus is beautiful
my dad says that there was a real work hard play hard atmosphere ... there are great academics and great parties .... and the students are really preppy (which i don't think is a bad thing) .... overall i have only heard good things about trinity

Is there a social life at Trinity? I was going to apply after seeing the campus but I live in Boston and I can't LIVE without a social life (lol) As in clubs, parties, etc. (no alcohol though) I wasn't considering applying since the deadline passed but they extended my dealine to the 6th. soo, I want to keep my options open. Also, I wanted to know if there's any diversity, I just read this post and prep school kids...doesn't sound too economically diverse (lol), and in terms of ethnicity, are there any minorities? I'm one myself and right now I'm a senior at a high school that is 98% caucasian, which is not a bad thing it just gets annoying being referred to as the "smart black girl", I just want something different in college. More diversity in terms of race.

Although it's too late, all of your questions can be answered either by reading older threads in this forum or by going to trincoll.edu.
