Had one of my granddaughters for a sleepover this weekend. An unbelievable amount of fun! Being a grandma is the best.
I feel your disappointment, jym626. My grandbaby will be 3000 miles away, at least for now.
Now I just need to decide what I want to be called.

Not yet. DH has decided on Grandpa, but I don’t know if I’m a Grandma. I’m really not sure. This may take me as much contemplation as choosing the name for S2 took.

Didn’t even make it a day before I bought and shipped the first little girl baby thingies. Soooo cute.
Great news, jym626! Shopping for baby girls is so much fun.
I love spending time with our grandson! He is so expressive and happy. He smiles with his entire face. Little boy clothes are more fun than they used to be, but they are still not as much fun as little girl clothes.
Costco has ADORABLE infant and children’s clothing at great prices (and unbeatable return policies). I love buying them with a gift for the kid’s education fund. Right now they have the cutest swim outfits with hats and hooded towels!
Have any of you grandparents had the Tdap vaccine?
Absolutely! Dont’ want ot transmit any diseases to the precious grandson. Actually my physician had it in the routine questions a couple of years ago and I had it done then.
How soon before the baby did you have it?
Yes, H and I both got the Tdap booster. Better safe than sorry.
I got mine less than 5 year ago, so I should be OK.
I get my tdap booster every 10 years as directed by my internist. I also get annual flu shots and every 5 year pneumonia shots. My insurer has only refused to cover the shingles shot for me.
