The FB group is only indicative of trends YOY. The number of people in the group year to year should show a certain percentage who will go to Harvard. Its not an exact science but its the same theory as the waitlist people on CC.

Does anyone know when they start waitlist deliberations?

I think it was around May 8th or 10th from reading last years wait list forum.

I’m just wondering, what time of the day would the adm office call people? Cuz when the adm officers are at work, we’d prolly be in school too

I sent a deposit to Cornell, staying on waitlist at Harvard. I expect the Harvard yield to be the same as last year, and the admits off the waitlist to be about the same as class of 2013. Good luck everyone!

Good luck to you too, Neapolitan. Cornell is a pretty sweet back-up plan. What is your location? Some people are also including their areas of interest.

How many people were taken off the waitlist year? Was it 85 or 110?

Eventually 110. But partially Z-list. And that includes people who didn’t accept the offer I believe.

I wouldn’t start worrying about how many people will get off the list until the Crimson publishes their article. Until then, I’m going to try to stay relaxed. Oh, and I just got a response from my regional admissions officer about my update letter…which is good I suppose.

That’s great cicero! When did you send it in?

I think that’s a very good sign, cicero. Did u get an email or a call or what?

I sent in my stuff maybe two weeks ago. I just got the email from my regional adcom today though; I thought that it was a nice email. I heard that they might already be starting to look at waitlistee’s applications. I hope that is true!

added to my listing :)

My alum interview emailed me, saying that my admissions officer had contacted him. She told him that they have spots to be filled and are beginning to consider waitlisted applicants.

:-D And it is still fairly early. The deadline hasn’t even passed yet.

Just sent in my deposit to Wash U. I hope I lose the money.
