THE ()#$*#()$@#$ how did I get this score??? Thread

Were there tests you took and thought you absolutely failed but actually got a REALLY good score??

Or...
Were there tests you took and thought you ACED with an 800 and got a really miserable score???

for me:

MATH II: thought I got above 780 for sure.
result: 720.

Literature: hahah didn't expect above 600 for that one since I guessed on like half of the questions.
result: 680

Us History: mann i've gotten A+ in my AP US class both terms, aced teh practice tests. thought I'd get an 800.

result: 690 (***!!!!!)

i am still disillusioned over the results. i guess the only thing i can do is retake in oct and hope collegeboard won't screw me over like that again.

Over 100 average in physics => 610 SAT II

yah..that's why i didn't take physics. =(

I took Chemistry and US History . . .

Tell me how this works. I took Honors Chem last year, then Chem II Honors and AP Chem this year (AP Chem all year in the block) and was getting 760+ scores on the Sparknotes practice tests. I got a 710. 71st percentile. What the heck.

The funny part is, I took APUSH online, didn't read the book, and read the REA APUSH book three weeks before the AP test (so pretty much I knew only the basics). I took 2 Sparknotes practice tests, and got a 760. Even though I barely knew the subject. How does that work?

more and more I think collegeboard randomly gives out scores now

it's like: hmm...i think this person should get...800!!
or..this person..590!

world history. didn't think i'd get any lower than 700 and I also aced both semesters of ap world. but guess what. 570. WHAT THE HECK. I WAS SO FREAKING SHOCKED. and either way, this has got to be the lowest anyone's ever gotten.

sunyoung310, maybe you should get it rescored?? but...that's risking $50

shrugs all my scores have been predictable

i was worried that I wasn't going to get over 600 on USH but i got a 630, which isn't that good, but still better than I expected.

Scored 770 on Kaplan Bio Practice and was expecting at least 750+.... 710 :(

On math II, bad time management + no clock whatsoever, the proctor took the booklet and I had to skip like 6 questions...could normally ace it :(.... a horrible 760
I hate SSATs!!!

lol, a friend of mine thinks the same about Reasoning SAT essay scoring...
I think you should stop fueling this lame though funny thought. :)

I got 690-730 on all my SAT 2 math 2c practice tests. I was feeling dumb as anything walking into the test. I skipped 3 on the actual and somehow got a 790. hahah i'm not complaining!

my AP scores just confirmed my suspicion on my scores.

how could i get a 5 on APUSH and get 690 in SAT II US history??? agh

also 5 in calc ab and 720 in math II...but i guess there isn't as much of a correlation as the us history one.

Expected a 700 on Lit, got a 790.

Meh, probably going to get 4 on AP Lang.

MathIIC is more like Pre-Calc/Trig crap not AP Calc AB..

the curves on the pratice things probably arent all that accurate it seems...

studied 1 day for physics... thought i got destroyed like 600 or below... got a 720... clutch for the little amount of time i studied

660 in biology-e, and I expected way in the 700s. I really want to get this rescored. I was getting 740, 750 on Barron's practice tests, and I got a 740 on the CB released test in the blue book.

680 in May chemistry. I sent in a request to get this rescored. The test was so easy, and I confirmed by answers with other CCers who had taken the test. So, I'm hoping that I get what I expected.

This whole thread is rather amusing. Everyone is all stressing over their 750s. When I clicked on this thread, I thought I'd be seeing 470s or 390s or something like that, not 750. Either people are totally out of touch with reality or they have so much ambition their brain is malfunctioning. A 750 is a killer score, no matter what little Johnny Harvard on CC says.

yah i'd love to get a 750.

it's just so maddening when i'm thisclose to a 700. crap.
