Anybody thought they'd get a 1 and then ended up with a 4-5?
Or, thought they'd get a 5 and then ended up with a 1-2?
Post all ur "biggest surprise" scores here...

I'll start
APUSH - expected score 1-2, actual score 4
I did maybe 10 minutes of review the night before the exam, and that was it... a whole bunch of random guesses on about half the MC questions, and the essays were probably the worst essays i've ever written in my life. How the **** did I get a 4?

It's really easy to get a 4 on AP USH, almost impossible to get a 3 unless you have a terrible teacher. Getting a 5 is sort of the hard part -- some of those essay graders are real freaks about history and will mark you down for messing up a historical figure's FIRST name.

Anywho:

Good surprise: AP Chem - Expected a 3, got a 5. I want to say I didn't study (I just skimmed through the crappy Cliffnotes book), but I like Chemistry so it's kind of my life...so I guess I overall I over-studied and don't know why I should've expected a 3.

Bad surprise: AP USH - Studied so much for this (at least 10 hours' worth from a huge book...though the book wasn't so good). Took 2 years of U.S. history too. I only got a 4! My essays must've sucked because I know I got almost every MC right. Oh well, I'll still hopefully get credit to get out of some awful social science elective.

3 bad suprises
2 on Phys C I thought 3-4
4 on MacroEcon and Gov(NonComparative) I thought these were the easiest tests ever taken. I was suprised to not have a 5. I came out believing I got at least 80% was right on all of it.

Well..... last year I did literally nothing for my AP Bio class and got a 4. No classwork, no reading, no studying.... nothing. That was a very pleasant surprise.

This year I thought I would get a 3-4 on AP US because, despite my ownage of the MC, I wrote an entire essay on the wrong Roosevelt; a stupid testing mistake because I knew an equal amount of info about the other one. I was convinced that I screwed myself over because of that but I still managed to get a 5... whew!

A 5 on AP English Lang/Comp was the only thing that didn't completely shock me... For those of you unpleasantly surprised: you can retake the tests next year, right? If you're a rising senior it might not appear on college apps but you still might be able to get credit for it.

Thought I'd get at least a 4 on AP US, but ended up with a 2. Figures, my class was really bad and I barely studied. Was expecting a 1 or a 2 on Bio, but got a 3. That's not bad I guess.

IM NOT GONNA LIE, but after walking out of AP US govt, i thot that was the easiest exam ever (a sure 5 if there is such a thing). I knew mostly everything. The M.C. was a joke, and I didn't get a F.R. I didn't know and the best part about it is I got A 4????????????????? ***? I kno.

I SWORE I got a 5 in U.S. Govt, but I got a 4. I was so confident in it, *** happened? Anyone else get a lower-than-expected score on the govt exam?

Maybe they just curved it harder this year....

OMG APOTHEOSIS WE ARE IN THE SAME BOAT. I got a 97 (A+) for the AP US Govt semester of our Govt. class. I absolutely pwned the class (I go to one of the best private schools in Florida.) Yet, I still got a 4. Let me put it this way. no arrogance intended, i'm probably the best, or 2nd best in the school at government. This is F'ed up. I got a 4!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ***??????

I got a 5 in physics B yet a 4 in this. The world is a strange place.

Yea.. I got a 3 on Gov. :(
I would have thought the worst I'd get was a 4...

I knew nothing about Spanish last year and a lot about politics.. yet I get the same score!!!!!!
Spanish is even that class that kept me far from a 4.0 UW... Gov, I have an A in!
Strange world.. curve must be rough for Gov.

Just about every other score is a 5 though, so I'm not too sad..

Yea, really. I had the second highest grade in my class, and on practice AP exams, I got 5's. I don't get it. And when I took the actual 2007 exam, I answered 57/60 MC questions. I was 99.999% sure I got those 57 correct.

Maybe it was the FRQ? Damn that supreme court case FRQ...that's probably what screwed me over.

Thought I was a sure-fire 4 in both chemistry and calclus ab (I forgot to put dx in all of my integrals and left two fr questions almost completely blank) but ended up with 5s in both. Yeah, I know, not very dramatic, but I was pleasantly surprised (aka jumping up and down...).

I love it but I struggle, on all the practice tests I consistently got 3's (once a very borderline 4.) I froze up during the actual test and felt I would be lucky to get a 3 - probably not a 2, but a low 3.

I got a 4! I'm so much prouder of that then the 5's I got. I was dancing a little bit, yeah okay.

Coola - no, the ruling was that religious people still have to follow the same rules as everyone else. As a religion they don't get special privileges all to themselves.

I bet US Gov had a tough curve this year, seeing how so many people thought it was super easy.

US History -5 i literally bombed one of the FRQs by mixing up shay's rebellion with bacon's rebellion and had some big errors in my DBQ. i must have nailed the mc part

Wow, same boat. I had a 97 average, and still pulled the 4. I don't get it, I knew all the essays, and only missed max 5 MC. Ridiculous.

How did I get a 3 on Calculus BC, and a 2 on the AB Subscore??

Well, I know why that works...but I'm wondering about myself.

I got a 4 on the US Gov. exam too, and I was thinking I got a 5. I aced all those FR's...maybe missed 3 or 4 MC...but Oh well...both scores would have gotten me the same credit.

I'm mostly excited about Econ! I was totally expecting a 2 or 3...which wouldn't give me credit, and I got a 4. Excited!!!
