Oh wow, my weighted and unweighted GPA are not far off at all. Both I think fall within 3.65-3.8

wow westahamunited32, how many APās did u take ?
anyway a cousin of mine got accepeted into Yale with a 3.1 GPA hes an amazing pianist, he is no. 1 in my country so ya they actually sent him a letter thanking him.

Lol i take ALL APs my only non APs are soccer classes, and art my freshman year.

With a 2.76 (level 3) i got into quinnipiac, fairfield, bryant, and loyola maryland! amazing.

WOW Jadsil Thatās impressive!! My son really wants to go to Colorado College, would you mind posting your statās, i.e. # of Apās and ECās. It might give him hope.

Bumping this thread to hear more success stories.

Bump. I need some encouragement before the letters start coming in in the next few weeks.

Bowdoin, not top 20 percent and fairly low GPA. Good ACT and great essays though. Also Fordham.

Edit: \lvl

Anyone think I can get in with a level 4 High school GPA (no SAT scores yet. still taking it May 1.) 2.13 1st sem college GPA. Great Recs and ECs though. International transfer. 100 TOEFL iBT. to these schools:

Syracuse, American, Seattle U, Saint Jospehās U, Boston U?

Lots of level 5s from my school get into the 10s-20s schools in USNWR, including Cornell, WashU, Tufts, Emory, Vanderbilt, and Michigan. Level 4s generally go to state flagships like UW-Madison and SUNY Binghamton, level 2s and 3s to non-top in-state options or schools like URI or ASU, and level 1s go to some really random schools or community college.

Iām level 5 (3.62) got into:

University of Alabama
Dickinson College (36k FA) - Going
Birminham Southern College
Fordham University

Not that great though LOL.

Iām a Level 4/5, and Iām in at Oberlin, Swarthmore, Northeastern, and Drexel. Waiting on other schools.

If your GPA isnāt that high, make sure to kick ass in everything else! And if itās in just one or two subjects, it can be overcome with other things.

level 4 and reed??..xcheezzzā¦how was ur other partsā¦like ECAs n SATsā¦

Level 5: 3.51 UW GPA
Bowdoin College

Level 4 (3.1 UW, 3.5W)
In at Loyola Maryland, Pitt, Ithaca, Hofstra, Drexel, UVM, Fairfield, UConn
Rejected: American, Penn State (offered Altoona), Northeastern
Waiting: Syracuse, Delaware

Bump. This is very encouraging to many people!

Itās all very encouraging, but I wish people were posting their SATs and if they have hooks, like art/sports/URM/gender (schools need boys). That must be a factor!

My junior D has a weighted GPA well above this level, and an unweighted GPA just above level 5, but sheās a white girl whose PSAT scores were so-so (although an upward trend, and sheās studying for the SAT and hopefully will do fine, but probably not great).

Iād love to hear about great schools that kids are getting into with SAT scores of under 1900ā¦

Level 4 UW, ACT: 27; URM, ED Connecticut College (doesnāt practice AA on students, although they do make diveristy important), EA Knox, deferred to RD at U of Chicago, Rolling at U of Hartford.

Didnāt hear back in time from: Goucher, Scripps, American, U New Haven, or ASU (Safety)

Uh, I had one very unusual EC, and a few other more general things; and good essays (Creative writing is a hobby of mine, and I did NaNoWriMo twice, so Iād wager I have extra āpracticeā.)

Iām going to say I wouldāve gotten into Scripps & Goucher, and mightāve managed to get into U of Chicago, had I stayed in the running (I shouldāve interviewed. Big mistake not to; Iām pretty okay in an interview.)

HA. Level 3
2.9 GPA

Got into:

University of Northern Colorado,
South Dakota State University,
Eastern Washington University,
University of Idaho,
University of Wyoming,
West Virginia University (Going)

Its nice to see some normal students on here for a change.
My school choices are a lot different than most peoples. I want a good education and a place where I can party, meet girls, and drink lol. No Ivy League for me, thank you very much.

Pretty sure you can do that in the Ivy League thoughā¦

Or did you never hear about the infamous Yale Naked Parties?
