The "I Got in without a 3.7+ GPA" club

Got into Wake Forest. Granted, I had a very strong essay explaining extenuating circumstances and a strong upward trend at the end.</p>

<p>A kid at my school got into Holy Cross with a 20 on his ACT don’t think he submitted it and I think he got a low grade on his SAT. But like 500s 400s on his SAT subject tests. His GPA was good 95, 94ish but the big thing was that he was black. ANother kid got into a really good medical program Sophie Davis has a low 80 78ish average in AP Biology. Again he was Latino so yea.</p>

<p>Are you so hard up for compliments that you have to fish for them in random threads, or do you just not realize that your GPAs are above 3.7?</p>

<p>I had a 3.58 UW and got into Mich, USC with a good deal of money, and UT Plan II,</p>

<p>Level 5, 3.5 gpa 1800 sat. Got into udel, jmu, va tech, psu (u park -summer) and rutgers.
