The "I Hate Math" Club

Arithmetic is useful, algebra[variables] is okay, functions gets a little weird, sine ratios get insane..

duuuuude, 1/4 of the posts on this thread is about how math = not useful in life.

like my equation?

I know a guy who built a boat for his honeymoon. That required madd calculus.

I LOATH mathe but have to do good in it (i want to go to caltech/mit) for the schools i want to attend.
ARGHHH its so damn annoying.

lol. math is the bane of my existance.
thats why this year i opted for silent study AP Calc BC. No math teacher, no math period. Take a test every quarter over stuff i already learned in AP Calc AB last year. i love it.

silent study? no noise while you work? odd name

woohoo 1/4. thats such a huge ratio. not.

most of us are STILL talking about how we don't like math.

i wish i did that too H20. the teacher assigned too much work so i was spending most of hte time trying ot finish them instead of trying to understand the concepts.

ok i hate math, i mean it just causes me misery
i'm so glad that i have less than two years of math left
i'm a senior, so in college i will just take a semester and be done for good!!!

i hate math as it is taught in HS and have a 67 in the class so far. im in math club though because i love math itself.

why would you want to go to MIT/Caltech if you hate math? that sounds pretty retarded.

and to XeLnAg_A , I don't even understand the point you're trying to make with your sarcasm. hmm.. maybe because it's pointless. w/e.

I wish our school had a math club

i'm weird. I like the subject when i understand what the hell the teacher is actually saying...

...but when exam time comes, i clam up and go into hibernation. It's like every formula i memorized and any analytical skills i have went poof. :P

I hated math ever since Arithmetics were replaced by Algebra. Some people understand all the concepts. All I see are the x's, y's and random doodles. People say they like math because "there's always an asnwer," but to me it makes no sense. I love English, I love history, I love sciences, but I hate math with passion!!! It was very embarrassing for me to manage a B- in pre-calc last year while others easily got A's. It was then when I just totally gave up on it and my math average dropped to 70. This year I'm failing, and I don't even care anymore. Now I probably won't get into my dream college, even though all my other grades are straight A's.

Quick question: Isn't a 79% considered a B+

Math the subject= alright I guess. My current math teacher= not alright... the woman makes no sense. I wish I had 'the math god' (the good math teacher who knows pretty much everything in math... and how to explain it too!) this year- I had As in his class last year.

Anyone wanna answer my question?

No, but a 79.51% is:D

I don't get it.
so, a 79% is a C+, at my school we calculate it as a B+.

At my school, Bs end at 85. A 79% is well into C territory; actually it's almost a D.

Are you serious? an 85 at my school is an A.
I'am really worried now, my average is only 90%
