thanks for your time.

i hate critical reading on the sats

I hate standardized tests I don't do well on (hehe).

And physics. Oh, how I loathe physics...!

I also hate dumb people. I'm sorry but it's true. And people who don't try.

And friends who "try" drugs and try to convince you it's ok.

i hate people who say they hate things.

...i need help in calc homewoooork! anyone willing to help? :]

whats the problem?

I can help with calc too.

its a weird problem... if you can AIM me please

could you post it here, aim not working

i HATE... je detest.... yo odio... CALCULUS!!!!!!! im 5th in our junior class FIFTH.... outta like 650.... and guess what? i' got a D last quarter and have a C right now.... anyone here have a hate for calc like me??? sigh... no extra credit, no calculator, tests worth 75%, and we only had like 3 tests last quarter... how depressing... no curving either... ours grades are horrible, our class filled with Cs, few Bs and rare As (usually the poor saps that failed the ap exam last year and are in BC this time around)

i hate calc, standarized test, physics, english, the list goes on.

Well, that's what makes the class interesting.

What did you expect out of not only an AP course, but BC Calc. No one said it would be easy.

BTW, how would a calculator help for calc? Unless there are crazy equations you have to solve or if you rely on a TI-89 to differentiate and integrate for you, there is really no need for one.

there was when we were on limits last qtr.... not to mention trig funtions, or just random stuff... maybe not now in derivatives, but last qtr it would have been tres helpful... and im not in BC, im in AB... the kids that have As this time around have "BC" on their schedule, but are in the AB class cause they failed the exam last year

What kind of trig functions. Like sin(5563.2452435524) or sin(pi/2)?
You shouldn't need calculators for limits.

Even AB Calc is very hard. Remember, AP means college level.

okay, what kid has the trig functions of like pi,pi/2,pi/3,pi/4, etc and a whole buncha other trig functions memorized? i mean, sure you should know most of them, but still...im sure somwhere some AP calc teacher is allowing thier students to use calculators... (whoot whoot 101 posts, i just noticed!!)

for the pi/2 etc you just use the circle, it's not very difficult

i hate the fact that I havta keep up my grades this whole semester. can't wait till second semester.

but isnt the circle just for degrees~~> <~~~~ radian ???, i got that down... the circle doesnt show the trig functions for them

calc is the bane of my existence.. even though i somehow have a 95.3 right now

I also hate Calc!!! I'll be lucky to get a B this quarter because it's such a frustrating class. I think secretly I love the challenge but it's killing my GPA. I kinda wish I would have taken it my senior year instead of junior year so that colleges wouldn't see the grade for all three quarters. I'm not taking the class at school but rather a college class so it goes really fast too which is kinda hard.

For the degrees and radian thing, I usually just convert it in my head. Like pi/2= 180/2= 90 degrees. If you are more of a visual learner it might be easier to imagine the unit circle. Remember that pi is 1/2 around the circle, so pi/2 is 1/4 around the circle, pi/4 is 1/8 around circle, etc. I can explain an example on how to find the trig functions using the unit circle if you need, but I think most people learned in precalc so you probably already know.
