(this is for international student) If your internal scores are above average and you have an extraordinary, unique EC, how important is SAT?

There is a chance that more than 20% of the kids applying to Berkeley may have above average and unique EC’s this year. No one knows. As such, your SAT results could become very important.

If Berkeley has a quota for international students (which I do not know), you application may get compared with those as well. From what I have seen (from the posted chance threads), international applicants have a very high score for math and somewhat reduced scores for CR and W in SAT reasoning test. just my observation

Whether you’re an nternational student or not SAT scores are really important in any school’s admissions process. Lots of kids have high grades and “unique” ECs. Its the combination of that, a good essay, and high standardized testing scores that determines your admission.
