The Importance of SAT Subject Tests for Harvard and Princeton?

I am a rising senior who is thinking about applying to Princeton and Harvard for normal decision and I read that both have abolished their SAT Subject test requirements (I’ve taken the ACT Plus Writing), but that they still recommend taking SAT Subject tests. I plan to take 2 SAT tests this fall (Math II and US History), but just in case I don’t do well enough, should I still send them? Will I be disadvantaged without them?
Thanks!!!

If you aware enough to ask now, sign up and take them.

Not submitting Subject Tests to Harvard and Princeton would not put you at a disadvantage. However, if you are considering the two schools, then you are likely considering other schools which still require the Subject Tests, so I would say, yes, take them.
