The Indian Thread #20 (a)

I doubt any colleges will be sending out LLs now. Most LLs are electronic and the ones that are sent through snail mail are usually postmarked by late February through early March.

Well, since they’re releasing their decisions, I’m guessing they would be x% acceptances and (100-x)% rejections where x is their acceptance rate.

Many top LACs have sent their early writes on March 7th

LAC’s tend to have less applicants than research universities, so they end up releasing decisions earlier.

@Tizil cornell COE sent out their LL’s on 15th March (may be previous year)

Speaking of Cornell, is anyone scared by the suicide bridge there? Makes me double think about the place.

I am just getting very nervous, another question… The following is an email from the admission officer at a very selective LAC.

Hello Anriudha,
We have received your additional updates and they have been reviewed. Cheers!

Is this an optimistic email ( Because of the " cheers! " )… Or am I thinking too much.

Nah, I think its just courtesy. Its simply how they respond.

Reading too much into it…just chill and wait for results, you will get in somewhere good :)

Ya seriously… I am getting paranoid.

Just hoping they won’t be saying cheers to someone they have already rejected. ( I have talked to this person many times, she has never ended her email with cheers. )

For all we know, they might not have even made a decision yet.

^ I agree… But the college I am talking about has its online decision date in 7 days from now so they might be pretty close…

I am just panicking too much so I am not able to think normally so please don’t mind my stupid posts.

I think that the colleges that have notification dates within the next week and a half have already decided on the applications and are using the intervening time to set up logistics for informing applicants.

Anyways, T minus 5 hours and 20 minutes.

My first top choice college’s decision is 7 days later but many people have their dream college’s decision today so is everybody as nervous.

@Tizil - So you think the college has already made a decision on me since their online notification date is on 23rd ?

What wrong in believing that Anirudh? Surely you don’t think that colleges might contemplate your application two days before the notification date? :p

Maybe you’re already in? :)

I really want to believe that because I don’t think anyone will say cheers to a rejected candidate.

Just hoping… For a good news…

And Tizil wish you all the best for MIT.

^Anirudha’s on the verge of losing his sanity. You’ve got a week man. It’s too early. :P

And for the rest of us hopeful adMITs… less than 3 hours!!!
So what are you doing now? :P

No dude. Not less than three hours. We still have a good 3 hours and 35 minutes left :p

No way. For me, I have 2 hours and 28 minutes left. Exactly.
Perhaps it may have something to do with time zones! :P

I know why! Daylight savings time >.<

WOAH. You’re getting it an hour earlier?

Late Realization: OH. IT IS dst. 2 HOURS 24 MINUTES LEFT :D

OMGOMGOMGOMG.

It is currently 4.07 PM on the east coast.
