Woot, go Kriti!

got a question for the indian guys
In Nepal we have pretty tough competition because almost all of us look for almost full aids .thus when a particular student is selected by a top LAC or ivy or top uni in early decision most of the remaining students remove that institution from their regular decision list.
Any idea on how tough the competition is in India?
Just curious to know.

Way tougher than at Nepal. Indians apply in huge numbers and hell good stats.

Pretty damn tough; check out our population! ;)

ya but in Nepal all the applicants know each other or at least know about schools which normally have applicants to US colleges.
you at least have the safety of "not knowing" which fellow Indian got in where, so that you can send your applications in peace unlike here where every other day you hear of somebody else getting in via ED to the colleges on your regular list.
And you also have better opportunities to study in India itself where the institutions are world class;like "I came to MIT coz I did not get into IIT" .
No such opportunities here.
For us it is either US or try next year at India.
By the way do you guys know of any good law programmes in India?

IITs are way different from MITs...

thanks issacnewton dai;I was just giving an example; lets not get too literal into it hudaina?I just meant there are world class institutions in India.
tyahi ho.

well the best law school is nls Bangalore. All the law schools hace a common entrance exam from this year. You can register for it now - its in may.

thanks shreya.iitk
any idea about where we get the forms and stuff like that?
a website perhaps
thanks again for your help

When in doubt, google it up!

Welcome to the National Law School of India University's Website

^ exactly tetris :)
I didn't post my amherst forms since i didn't know whether i would be getting 700 above on critical reading or not. Can i still post it now? - thats what postmark is right- anydate before the 31st you can send it?

Yup that's what it means

That is only applicable to Americans. I suggest you send your docs at the earliest to be on the safe side.

yes, 31 is postmark date... but obviously the earlier the better because if something goes lost you still have time to mail it a second time (unfortunately my forms aren't sent yet either...)

It's not really a big deal..just send the app on or before the postmark (Which is the date when you ''send'')..and if something is missing, they will inform you to send them..(I know people who sent their app even after the deadline..Although it's not preferable..:p)..

i sent it today so i hope its fine..
