Agree with ajay :D I am pretty new here too :D

so, almost everyone here seems to be applying for engineering.

is there someone who has applied to yale?

Aha! So any of you guys who've already decided where to go? I know I have, Carnegie Mellon all the way!

I'm doing Computer Science, which technically wouldn't fall into engineering. I guess I love theoretical stuff, also coding of course.

I'm doing Comp Sci too. Yeah, I was initially confused when it wasn't listed under the Engineering Department at UT Austin... lol. Apparently, it's under Natural Sciences in some universities.

Glad to see this thread is still alive. :) I hope the application process isn't too hard on you guys. Anyway, if you have any questions, I'll probably check this thread a couple of times in the next two days. Good luck with your decisions!

PS: In case you're wondering, I'm an old TiT# 15 alum.

Fuzzy! How's Paolo Alto? :D

Palo Alto, that would mean Stanford?

Damn, you just brought back images of all the palm trees and the weather, now that ruins my day!

stanford............... wow!

My first choice is Amherst college- but its sort of not likely to happen.
My major is Economics.

Abhinav- so you got into carnegie mellon ed? thats great! My cousin who went to UT Austin is now at Carnegie Mellon doing a Mtech in computer science.

Hey everyone, how's it going?

So, I was wondering how low a score in the CBSE Boards would count as low enough for a university, such as Berkeley, to take back their offer of admission. Not that I plan to ruin my future or anything... just curious. ;)

Does anyone know?

@Shreya - Yes, ED. And CMUs one of the best places for CS, they have this super-selective one year additional MSCS program that I'm hoping to get into. They take 4-5 people each year.

@Narsil - I would guess only something horrible like a 60-something or less, anything above that with a couple of good excuses (if required) should get you through.

Hey Kriti, how's Oberlin?

And yes, fuzzy is in Stanford :)

Man, I can't believe I misspelled Palo Alto :S

hey, im applying to Stanford, CMU, Cornell, Georgia Tech, UM Ann Arbor, Purdue....
Abhinav, COngrats for CMU man! I wish I get accepted there too! Where in india are u from?

Delhi

10 char

wait so, you are not a senior in HIgh school?

Yeah, congrats on CMU. I didn't apply there. I applied to UCB, UCI, UCR, UCLA and UT Austin (accepted) for CS.

@Kumara, who isn't a senior in high school? If you're referring to '10 char', its just to meet the 10 characters requirement for posts. ;)

No, i was asking abhinav...

Actually, no, how did you figure that out?

found u on some other thread :)
So wat do u do now??
Oh and can u post ur stats
