Anyone here applied to Georgia Tech?

Yep, Kumara did.

Got his admission decision?

He was accepted IIRC. GATech isn't that selective anyway, so no worries.

BUT Gatech is an awesome place. If anyone would give me enough money I would love to go there.

When you say accepted, do you mean he received the acceptance letter via snail mail? Or via the signs mentioned on the GT forum?

Ajay, what ever made you think that I don't have fun and that I have my career plans set in stone!? Let me tell you this - I definitely want an offbeat, FUN career; although I don't know what it is yet. And money is definitely not the objective - who wants a job where they'll earn in 7 figures yet be completely stressed out and miserable? True, a lot of people do this (coughIbankerscough), but I'm not that type.

As for the fun part, let me tell you what I did yesterday apart from come on CC:

Studied (OK this isn't fun, but it's something I have to do since my boards are a week away)
Went on a Facebook rampage (this occured simultaneously while browsing CC)
Downloaded pointless software from the net (I love playing around with my comp :))
Played on my Wii (if you ever get the chance - GRAB IT! It's AWESOME fun!!!)
Read an awesome book (Wicked Lovely, if anyone's interested)
Helped my friend jailbreak his iTouch
Hung out at my friend's place
Played tennis for a couple of hours
Watched American Idol

Wasn't a half-bad day, was it? :)

In short, I balance it. I don't study much (3-4 hours a day), but that's how I've been all my life - if I just listen in class, I absorb the material. I don't know how, I guess I'm just lucky to be able to do that. Perhaps this is why I'm able to do so much in a day. I really don't know, but whatever I do, I'm happy with the way I'm living life :).

GreenIndian, it is on sheer optimism that aid-seeking international students survive this process. You really aren't doing anyone a favour by belittling Ajay and the others, by trying to lower their confidence. Let me tell you this - I'm pretty sure Ajay and the rest of them will remain pretty unfazed by that post of yours; it's just not their style to back down in the face of adversity. ;)

That para wasnt you for in particular, girl. If that is what you are doing, cheers! :)

GreenIndian, Not much time life until last week of march. We'll who makes it where. COnsidering my 'weird' interests' I think LACs suit me. I have diverse interests and LACs are perfect for that.

Lol thanks Ajay.

Lol GreenIndian, with such a big college list and good stats he will surely be accepted at 1-2 places atleast

His quest has largely been one of fantasy, born of loneliness and desperation.

I cant stop laughing over this! :D

Loneliness and desperation :D Indeeed!!!!!

How in the world did Occidental College get its name? Did they accidentally put in an 'O' instead of an 'A'?

[/lamejoke]

^

LOL! (10 chars...)

Oh Ajay, you are lonely, desperate and have dreams filled with fantasy. Woe is you, seek a counselor at once!

Don't spurn off Occidental, Barrack Obama began his collegiate life there!

Occidental rocks big time. LAC in LA with frats :D beat that!

Not to mention Disneyland and JPL in the area ;)
