I lived in Germany for a year and a half when i was 8 yrs old- and i could speak perfect German then. Now all i remember is Dankeshurn :)
I went again to Germany in grade 11 after boards for 2 months.
just curious- Where did your mom study>?
And yes lets definitely meet when we get there.

My mom studied at the University College, London... :D

I went on a trip of South East Asia after 10th..After 11th, I had IIT classes daily in the morning rendering it impossible to go to even Bangalore :D

I know- this happenned exactly to my best friend- he couldn't go newhere at all for the past 2 years- and this will happen to my younger sister next year too. I feel so relieved. :)
But its worth it i guess if you do make it in with a brilliant rank.
Though i still don't know what to think about you giving jee even though you are sure that you are going to the US. :)

Ah well, I just want to prove to myself that I am capable of getting through to IIT :D

Lol there's no way I'm gonna sit for ages and write an exam which has only math, physics and chemistry! :)

Thank god I'm not giving the IITJEE. Although, like shruthi, I really want to drop a year and get into IIT-D just for the sake of it. ;)

Lol. What are your top choices?

As of now, I'm a Jeffersonian Engineer. ;)

Oh right, you told me yesterday about the UVA likely! :D

Three words from my side.

I . HATE . IITs

BITS >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>IITs anyday :p

BITS Goa > *

;)

True :p :D

Any decent US college>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Any Indian college*

*For the whole experience

BITS > IIT???? Are you guys freaking out of your mind??? No way!!!!

IIT FTW! :D BITS is next to IIT maybe!!!

But I do agree with tetris, US universities pwn most Indian ones :D

with recession hitting US and the economy slowing down, do u guys think going to US for college is such a gr8 idea at the moment?
I mean India and China are better choices as per the development goes, hence more opportunities in Asia too......
What do you guys think?

Education and Work are completely different. ;)

US Education >>> *

Exactly!!! Recession cant stop us :D I mean, if we get into the school of our dreams, these things will not appear as important as it should appear to us

I understand, but economy slowing down does affect everything in US....for example, colleges will get less funds for research there...

I;m not saying that you shouldn't go to MIT if you get accepted, I mean I also want to go to college in US, just wanted to know what you guys think cuz it is going to affect us eventually..

I know it will affect us, but then, I guess it might be more pronounced if we decide to work there, which inevitably happens mostly. Really depends, but then again, its too early to say anything now..... I am a bit worried, but then, who isnt?
