yes also i NEED Financial Aid.

WOOT another Kolkatan! Put this on the chances subforum if you haven’t already so people more in-the-know than we are can help you out.

tetris, I know that you are done with all your essays, so I have no clue why you think you’re not done with your apps. You have the right to remain silent about this instead of arguing further for no reason. Both you and puppy chill, the 15th is gonna come SOON and then hopefully you can party while the rest of us sit around frantically writing essays.

can you please send me the link to the chances subforum…?

[What Are My Chances? - College Confidential](Chance Me / Match Me! - College Confidential Forums)

I’m not too sure if you should mention your AIRs They sorta make you a much lesser mortal after all those great scores and ECs.
sigh

Seriously, I’m not done with all of them. I barely started the Stanford and Tufts supplements, and then decided to ditch them…a month ago. Haven’t worked on an essay since.

Can we switch topics?

DUDE TETRIS IS FROM CHENNAI? SOUTH INDIAN REPRESENT, YO. (I have a fierce south indian pride thing going, don’t mind me).

Also, you guys make me feel so happy. So I’m not the only one who laughed at the face of Harvard’s priority deadline, then? Woohoo! I think, like every other project I’ve had with a deadline, all my applications will be submitted on 31’st December at 11:59 pm. And then the computer will hang. :D

Also.

I kind of…forgot. About the RMO today. shifts guiltily

WHAT? You forgot to appear for RMO??? :O

…yes. I…don’t know how I managed to forget the freaking R. M. O, but I just…did. Yeah.

LMAO Meghna, you’re my hero.

bows

Now, all I need to do is avoid my maths teacher(s) for about a month until they forget about it…

Oh also! Can any of you recommend a good safety LAC that gives FA to internationals?

ROFL I’ve missed olympiads too. I…err…skipped out on the NSO some days ago :P

Er…Beloit. Colgate (don’t think it’d be a safety though).

Hmmm, I don’t really know any safeties for internationals seeking FA :-/

Meghna, you’re from down south!?

I’m a purebred uptight tam-bram (:P) though I live in Delhi.

Also, yep, I prettymuch guessed that there are no safeties for internationals seeking FA. I’m just wondering if I should apply to Pomona (sp?) or Colgate or Hamilton as a sort of backup (I know they’re pretty selective, though), or just aim for the ultra high reaches and settle for good old DU otherwise.

Pomona’s extremely selective, no difference between it and, say, Amherst really. Colgate would probably take you and give you aid though, cause they put a lot of emphasis on SAT scores.

Ah, yes, I’ve heard they have a ~15% admission rate. No fun.

Oh, I’ll look into Colgate then, especially if they’re focussed a lot on scores. I should be studying for my board exam instead if I really wanted to get into college SOMEWHERE but this is so much more entertaining an idea XD.
