The Indian Thread (TiT) #18

I guess they must think the same about the post count obtained through posts here on this sub-forum.
@quasi: aww Sorry. :frowning:
And Congratulations, tetris! :D

So why are the posts on the Class of 2014 thread and the Brown ED Applicants thread valid? We mostly just gossip there too :P

I guess to them it must be easier to discount the posts in an entire sub-forum rather than the posts in a particular thread(s). :P

Yeah. I guess you are right.

Tut tut, laziness :P

Well, letā€™s hope it continues! Iā€™m glad they count those posts.

Yale SCEA might be trumping you guys, you know, tetris. They have prospective wars with Stanford and matchmaking going on. Plus itā€™s bigger. :P

Amherstā€™s is about as small as Amherst. Oh well.

Oh, and hey, Crazysah, whatā€™s up?

I wrote **** draft #3 of college essay. Yay for me!

Oh, you suck. :P

That would be my drafts doing the sucking :P.

I have a question. Is it better to write something showcasing what a little ~star~ you are (i.e. talking about your talents/achievements), or writing about something thatā€™s culturally significant to you at the risk of not detailing your awards/ECs etc?

Um, the second one. They already know more about your awards/ECs than anyone really wants to (or if they donā€™t, you havenā€™t used enough of your CommonApp/resume place, yo!)

@QuasiProfound - Nothing much. Trying to sort out my college list and how I am going to get in there with my not so great marks.

Sigh. I feel your pain. This is not as fun a time of our lives as it should be.

I thought so too, right? But people are telling me that thereā€™s no use in detailing your ECs if you donā€™t tell a story about your dedication and passion to them in your essay. As a result, Iā€™m really confused.

@meghna: Go with the second option.

@Quasi: Lol, fun all around. Iā€™ll remain non-competitive and stay true to Brownā€™s spirit :P.

Haha that was a good answer, tetris.

meghna, I reiterate: second option. And, er, can I add you on FB?

I second the FB question.

FB! The social networking exam ruining website!

Strike a balance and itā€™s all good.

(NO Quasi, you can NOT interject here!)

May aaaaaaiiii?

Ahem. I see Iā€™ve made my point, however.
