The invitation email & LSP

Hi, I received an email regarding the trip thing today also.
I applied for CAS, and I haven't got any mails about LSP so far.
I did hear that LSP'd applicants got this email as well, so I was wondering if anybody knows if this means we were directly accepted to CAS or possibly to LSP too. (Though I doubt that they will already send the "unofficial acceptance" to those who might or might not choose to go to LSP instead of CAS)

I’ve been wondering this, too. I’m just going to wait until Monday to call them and ask them directly.

So do these letters mean acceptance to our applied schools (I’m CAS), or could we still be LSP’ed? I am so confused right now.

I think we are accepted to NYU, but we don’t know if we got into the school we applied to or we are LSP-ed. Most likely you would find out when you get your actual admissions letter.
I’m just guessing since no one seems to have a legitimate answer on this. So I suggest calling on Monday and asking if it is possible to be LSP-ed at this point since many LSP-ed applicants have already heard from NYU by mail.

Eh. I’ll just wait for the letter in the mail. I don’t really feel like calling admissions, especially since I’d be fine with CAS or LSP at this point. But thank you for the info! :)

joux// could you please post their answer on monday?
btw, I’m pretty sure we got into CAS, because it says “While your decision packet will not be mailed for another 2 weeks, it might be a good idea for you to start checking into travel plans to visit campus” and the fact that we didn’t receive LSP packet makes upcoming decision packet the CAS one. Recalling that the OFFICIAL LSP packet does not come unless you say “Yes” to their question whether you would like to be placed in LSP instead, so I say we don’t worry about it so much.

Yeah. Sure I’ll post after I call.
I applied to Steinhardt. But I feel a little better knowing that I didn’t get any mail of that sort.

So I called today, and they said that if you are chosen for LSP you should have already received an email regarding LSP. If you have never received an email of that sort before this “acceptance email”, you are accepted to your school of choice.

I heard the email means you got into the department of your choice. I think someone in the facebook group called and got that answer from the admissions office.

does that apply even to people who received LSP packets in late feb? like does that mean the admissions office changed their minds and decided to put me in CAS? i highly doubt it though lol
