gooduniforme, that's because either that course doesn't have any textbooks, they have readers that are sold in westwood and not the student store, or you just have a lazy professor that never put in his order for textbooks yet

thanks jyancy. What website would I go to find the readers needed for my classes? On the UCLA Bookstore site under "Readers" the order information is for professors only, not students. Or should I just wait till the first day of school to buy books after getting the syllabi from my professors?

That sounds advisable. You never know if the professor is the type to never use the book, or if you'll be dropping that class.

ha, you're totally right, hibiscuspink! I might end up getting some sneaky professor who low and behold says "You won't be needing the book." But what if they say "have the book by next week" and I don't receive it in the mail in time (after buying it online)?

You could always pay more for faster shipping, buy from Textbooks Plus, or (gasp) buy from the UCLA bookstore.

They have textbook reserves in the library. I believe you can borrow them for two hours at a time, enough time to read (or at least make copies) of the pages you need. Or even take the book to class, if needed. The textbook reserves should suffice until your books arrive.

Bump for Fall 09.

ucla_cse , I love you too. <3
